IMPORTANT REMINDER

Clubs and Schools, their Welfare Officer or similar, are reminded that when they are about to employ/use a coach, who is known or not known to them that they make some simple checks.

They must physically ask for and inspect the following ORIGINALS:-

1) Their current ECBCA Membership card- confirming membership of the ECBCA.

2) The Coach's Certificate(s) - this will certify the name of the coach, the level attained and will be signed by an ECB official. Typical levels are ECB Level 1 (previously the Cricket Council's- Cricket Coach); ECB Level II (previously Senior Coach);Advanced Coach; ECB Level iii; UKCC Cert 1; UKCC Cert 2; UKCC Cert 3 (Head Coach), UKCC Cert 4: ECB Club Coach. In addition certificates are given for attending the ECB Development Workshops.

3) Their current enhanced CRB disclosure form.

4) A first aid certificate (is currently) valid for 3 years.

5) A certificate to indicate they have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop within the last three years.

The DCBCA regrets that due to Data Protection matters they are unable to divulge such information and it is therefore wholly the responsibility of the club/school to check such information.
