CHUDLEIGH, the side Bovey Tracey defeated in last season's final, are favourites to qualify from Group One after they defeated Dawlish & Teignmouth by 37 runs.

   Only Abbotskerswell can finish level with Chudleigh in the Group and won't if they lose when the two sides meet in the final round of games in a fortnight.

   Mark Halse (52) and Ed Hunt (19) constructed a stand of 54 for Chudleigh's fourth wicket that got them up to 103 for four, With Nick Halse making 25 as well, Chudleigh reached 151 all out with an over to go.

    Dawlish & Teignmouth shared the wicket-taking around with Fisher, Lockyer and O‘Connell taking two each.

   Dawlish & Teignmouth were still in with a shout at 89 for four – Billy Alcock making 32 – but went into a terminal decline once skipper Andy Lockyer got out for 17,

   The last five D&T wickets went for just 18 runs as they were bowled out for 115, Fehan Adil finishing with three for 31.

   Chudleigh 151 (M Halse 52, N Halse 25; A Lockyer 2-10, T O'Connell 2-27, R Fisher 3-35), Dawlish & Teignmouth 114 (W Alcock 32, A Lockyer 17; F Adil 3-31, B deSilva 2-15, M Halse 2-17, N Chandler 2-4). Chudleigh bt Dawlish & Teignmouth by 37 runs.
