DARTINGTON & Totnes will face Bovey Tracey in next week's Aaron Printers Narracott Cup final after defeating fancied Brixham by 31 runs in the twice-delayed semi-final.

Brixham were made to pay for dropping Scott Stevenson on eight as he went on to make a top score of 38 and D&T's total of 108 for seven in 15 eight-ball overs.

Joe Hyde (2-25) picked up dangermen Matt Hickey and Tom Williamson early on and Mark Orchard dispatched Bertus Loots in a running D&T total of 39 for three.

Stevenson stayed there and took the score up to 69 for four when he was bowled by Lee Upham (3-38).

After Stevenson departed the baton was picked up by Jamie Palmer, who was last man out for 34.

Brixham made a solid start as openers Richard Ward and John Lamswood put on 18 without loss – then they lost three wickets without scoring a run and never really recovered.

Loots (3-12) and Williamson (2-24) did the damage and the situation worsened as Matt Caunter and Mark Orchard went in quick succession as Brixham dipped to 26 for five.

Tim Robinson (17) and Paul Heath (13) gave Brixham a slender hope, but Hickey accounted for both of them no his way to a two-for-13 haul.

Once Heath went it was downhill all the way to 69 all out with 10 balls to bowl.

The cup has been hard hit by the bad weather in recent weeks as the final should have been played on July 20.

The new date for the final is Wednesday, August 1 at Queens Park, Paignton with a 6pm start. The reserve date is the following night (August 2) at Cricketfield Road, Barton.

It promises to be a busy week for Dartington & Totnes as they have an outstanding Corinthian Cup tie against Plymstock to play on Tuesday evening.

   Dartington & Totnes 108-7 (S Stevenson 38, J Palmer 34, M Jarvis 11; L Upham 3-38, J Hyde 2-25), Brixham 69 (T Robinson 17, P Heath 13; B Loots 3-12, M Hickey 2-13, R Stevenson 2-13, T Williamson 2-24). Dartington & Totnes bt Brixham by 39 runs.
