CORNWOOD are one step closer to a trip to Lord's after winning the indoor cricket Devon final with a 50-run win over Bovey Tracey.

   Cornwood made a hefty 142 for three in their 12 overs with skipper Ben Warren the leading scorer on 26.

   Bovey Tracey were bowled out for 92 in reply with Danny Harris (2-16) the main Cornwood wicket taker. Webtwo

   The next step for Cornwood is to take on the as-yet unknown Cornish champion at Fowey later this month.

   If they win in Cornwall it's off to the regional final in Taunton bidding for one of the places in the national final at Lord's in mid-March.

   Cornwood 142-3 (D Harris 24, B Warren 26; J Mason 2-28), Bovey 92 (B Elphick 26, P Bradley 25, D Harris 2-16). Cornwood bt Bovey Tracey by 50 runs.
