Gater and Parkin flay Wiltshire attack in unbroken 182 partnership

Devon Under 12's made it four out of four despite the best efforts of the weather. Winning the toss and batting again Devon again batted very impressively. The loss of Luke Tuckett early on did not faze the Devon batsman as Matthew Hickey and Lewis Gregory shared a 90 run second wicket partnership. Hickey went on to complete his fourth score over forty in four knocks eventually falling for 63. Henry Parkin and Will Gater then set about the Wiltshire attack with an accomplished display of powerful hitting as they put on 182 runs in an unbroken stand. They finished on 90 no and 89 no respectively.

An early breakthrough for Devon didn't come, although Alex Carr once again had a couple of chances dropped early on in a good opening spell together with James Toland. The intervention of rain saw the Wiltshire target reduced to 236 from 35 overs and Devon opted to bowl the three spinners in conditions that were not ideal in order to complete the game. There was a couple of wickets for Miles Lenygon and one for Nathan Bulley, although JJ Debenham had to do without this week as Devon ran out comfortable victors by 68 runs.
