Following the withdrawal of funding for the 19s and 21s Devon were determined to continue to provide cricket for the over 17s and a development side was  formed to play five games in 2004 Two games were won, two lost and the fifth abandoned. Serious thought has now to be given to creating a competitive framework for 2005 and discussions will be held with our neighbours in the hope that a proper competition will be formulated in 2005.
