After experiencing problems with the weather Torquay and Plymstock finally got their preliminary round game in and Torquay came out winners by 20 runs. The home team batted and opener Matthew Thompson retired on 33 and Thynn and Ready reached double figures. Plymstock's Thomas and Dutoit each took 2 wickets as Torquay finished on 97-6. In reply Richards scored 21 and Field 11 with Sivyer taking 4-5 off 4 overs and Hysom 2 wickets. It was another last ball nail biter between Sidmouth and Hatherleigh who both scored 64. However Hatherleigh lost lost three fewer wickets and go through to the next round. Sidmouth batted first and opener Ollie Pyne retired on 31, he was the only home player to reach double figures. Sidmouth were 64-9 at the end of their 20 overs. Hatherleigh reached the same total for the loss of only 6 wickets with Gareth Tidball (16) and Brown (10) reaching double figures. Brown had earlier taken three wickets for 14. Hatherleigh now face Axminster, who received a walk over from Bideford, in the next round.

Bovey Tracey are through to the quarter -finals thanks to 15 run win over Torquay. Bovey batted first and in their 20 overs scored 125 with Matthew Pearce retiring on 30 and fellow opener George Miles scoring 22. Aaron De Younge (19) and Extras (28) were the others to get into double figures. Torquay's Matt Hallis had the fine figures of 4-5 off three eith two maidens. Devon Under 11 keeper-batsman Matthew Thompson lead the Torquay reply retiring on 30 and Henry Raby also had to return to the pavilion on the same score.Otherwise it was Mr Extras again as 22 runs were added to the visitors final score of 110. Also in the quarter finals are Paignton who beat Totnes 54 by runs. Paignton scored 94-4 with Matt Gilmour also having to retire on 30. Totnes were dismissed for 40 with Alex Coles removing five batsmen for seven runs. Clyst St George scored 73 against Lewdown with Casey retiring on 30 and C.Smith scoring 18. Namesake O.Smith took 4-13 for Lewdown who passed their target in 10 overs Squires also retiring on 31 and fellow opener Geering undefeated on 19.

Hatherleigh overcame Axminster by eight wickets. Axminster scored 92 for 3 with Puray (19), Prior (29*) and Murdock (13) leading the way. Hatherleigh lost Tidball (19) and Forrester (16) in passing their target leaving Harwood (16) and Brown undefeated. Hatherleigh now play in the semi-final South Devon, who beat Lewdown. South Devon were beaten by Hatherleigh who wnt on to end Paignton's three year unbeaten record in the Final. They now move on to the National stages of this competition.
