Plymouth 98-8 (C Lock 47, J Murphy 3-5) beat Whitchurch 80-9 (P Edgley 43 no, J Foley 3-31) by 18 runs

Plympton 123-5 (C Donohue 36) beat Ivybridge 37 all out (C Donohue 3-6) by 86 runs

Plympton 114-6 (C Donohue 42, D Wrench 38, N Probert 3-17) beat Whitchurch 111-7 (J Newton 46 no, S Daymond 34, C Donohue 4-18)

Ford Park 99-9 (J Day 35, J Wood 3-11) beat Plymstock 77-9 (A Redfearn 3-13, P O'Gallagher 3-14) by 22 runs

Plymstock 113-5 (D Staddon 3-21) beat Cornwood 69-5 (P Deal 33 no) by 44 runs

Under 15 Match Reports

 

After losing Frost (9) early Whitchurch recovered with J Newton (46no) and S Daymond (34) addng 67 for the 2 nd wicket. Daymond was run out by R Skinner and from then on Plympton stated to slow the scoring down. Tight bowling in the last eight overs by Donohue (4-18) and Wrench (1-15) reduced Whitchurch to a total of 111 for 7 wickets. Whitchurch started the defence of the total well reducing Plympton to 11-2 in the 3 rd over. Donohue (42) and Wrench (38) put on 79 before Wrench was brilliantly caught by J Newton deep on the boundary. Plympton started to stutter losing 3 more wickets for 11 runs. Matt Gregory 912no) and Tom Howourth saw Plympton home with 3 balls to spare. N Probert took 3-17 for Whitchurch.

 

In damp conditions Plympton were asked to bat first and scored a respectable 123-5. Craig Donahue (36) and Rob Skinner (26) shared a 51 stand. Lloyd Thomas took 2-16 for Ivybridge. Ivybridge were never allowed to get going with some consistent bowling from all the Plympton bowlers picking up wickets at regular intervals. Ivybridge were bowled out for a disappointing 37. Craig Donahue 3-6 and Matt Draper 2-3 were the pick of the bowlers.

 

Plymstock batting first were restricted to 113 for 4 with James Burke top scoring with 29. Youngster Dave Staddon 3-21 was the pick of the Cornwood bowling. Plymstock bowled very tightly, Burke again to the fore with two wickets fro 4 runs. Peter Deal carried his bat for 36 no but Cornwood did not have the fire power against accurate bowling finishing on 69-5.

 

Plymouth totalled 98-8 against Whitchurch thanks in the main to 47 from C Hughes and 24 from T Hughes. J Murphy took 3-5 for Whitchurch. Whitchurch were reduced to 39-8. P Edgley 43 no restored some respectability but was unable to get Whitchurch to their victory target as they finished 18 runs short.
