Devon under 11s commenced their season with a three wicket victory over Cornwall at Tintagel. Cornwall batted first and scored 186 -9, Devon passed this total with 3 wickets in hand. Their second fixture was a trip to Rockhampton to play Gloucestershire. Devon batted first and scored 191 -9 with Lenegon leading the way with an excellent 62. He was well surported by Parkin and Hickey. Gloucestershire were in all sorts of trouble as Alex Carr took 3-8 off his four overs and leg spinner Golding 3-18 to leave them 71-8 at close.
