Filleigh stay in the bottom two, but have moved within 12 points of Shaldon, the team they have to get ahead of to stay up.

Filleigh have play-off chasers Uplyme this Saturday before a potential winner-takes-all game against Shaldon on the last day of the season.

BARNSTAPLE & Pilton struggled for runs away at Seaton, where they went down by six wickets.

A sluggish start – they were 39 for four was part of the problem – and 81 for eight wasn’t a lot better.

Skipper Steve Moore batted 20 overs for 30 not out in a total of 116 for nine., Sean Cole made 23.

Seaton had the runs knocked off inside 22 overs, thanks largely to Mark Bray (30) and Joel Seward (24).

Brady Saunders had two for 51 for B&P, who don’t have to worry about relegation any longer as none of the bottom two can overtake them.

Shaldon are the visitors to Taw Meadow this Saturday afternoon.
