Exmouth and Heathcoat match preview

EXMOUTH will be aiming to bounce back from their defeat at Sidmouth when they face Heathcoat on the Maer.

Exmouth captain Richard Baggs will be hoping Heathcoat don’t bowl as straight as Sidmouth, who won by 32 runs defending 166 for nine.

“You have to give Sidmouth credit they bowled well and don't give us much rubbish to hit.

“But we didn't force the issue enough, or take enough risks. We need to look at this and play with a bit more freedom."

HEATHCOAT skipper Sam Smith may be back behind the stumps against Exmouth as Dan Powell appears to be on his way out of the club.

Powell, who joined from Sidmouth this time last year, has signed the transfer forms to take him back to the Fortfield.

Smith used to keep wicket and with Powell gone may do again, if a back problem doesn’t stop him.

Ned Menheneott will be disappointed not to earn a recall from the 2nd XI after taking a ton off Ipplepen last Saturday.
