Bowman makes life a misery for Thorverton

THORVERTON were sick of the sight Steve Bowman after their 112-run defeat by Abbotskerswell.

Abbots were 52 for three at the halfway state – then Bowman strode to the wicket and spanked the first ball he faced for four.

Bowman went on to make 106 and with Dylan Nel makng 53 as well Abbots totted up 232 for nine.

Jake Choules was the leading wicket taker with three for 42.

Teenage opener Jamie Khan looked comfortable making 29 at the top for Thorverton, which was as good as it got;

Other than a brace of 13s for Denford and skipper Graham White, the batting largely failed.

That man Bowman took three for 24 and Matt Beasant three for 17 as Thors were dismissed for 120.

Thoverton face Ivybridge at Station Road on Saturday
