Fairbairn back for Bovey

SKIPPER Andy Fairbairn is back in Bovey’s side for the trip to Exmouth.

Fairbairn missed the two-wicket defeat by Sidmouth as he was at a wedding;

Missing from the side is Sam Wyatt-Haines, who top scored on 63 not out. He has commitments at Blundell’s School.

Peter Bradley, who stood in for Fairbairn, said, losing a close game to Sidmouth was not a disaster.

“There were lots of positives,” said Bradley. “Sam Wyatt Haines, played beautifully and I think the Devon selectors should be looking closely at him.

“Ryan Bougourd, showed his quality with the ball. I think it was a case of, as a team we are slightly under cooked on our preparations.

“A few things to improve on, however we can be positive going into our next game against Exmouth.”

Sidmouth are back on the Fortfield for a home game against Exeter.
