Exeter III hold a 25 point lead at the top of the table after a four wicket win at Uplyme and Lyme Regis where, at one stage, they looked on their way to a rare defeat! Dave Norman (66), Eddie Clarke (33), 13-year-old Tyler Wellman (20) and Henry Perry (20) led Uplyme and Lyme Regis to 161-9 as Jit Singh took 6-24. Michael Holding (2-33) and Wallace Blackmore (2-39) had the table topping visitors wobbling at 75-6 before Brian Bosomworth (48no) and schoolboy James Vanstone (32no), helped their side seal victory.

Upottery II had a very good day at Newton Poppleford where they thumped Exmouth III by eight wickets. Skipper for the day Dave Robinson top scored with 32 for Exmouth in a total of 131 as the father-and-son Bath combination sunk them! Father Simon claimed 4-50 from ten overs whilst son Sam returned figures of 3-37 from 7.5 overs. Jack Trevisick then hit 50 and Mike Arscott chipped in with an unbeaten 35 to help Upottery over the line.Duncan Cousins (47no) and skipper Francis Pyle (30) helped Feniton II to 184-6 at home to 10-man Kentisbeare II. The Mid Devon side were then bowled out for 127 with only Gary Farley making much impression with 25 as Kevin Brandon took 4-35 to help Feniton to a win that keeps their hopes alive and they will want to have Exeter still within catching distance when the side meet on the final day of the season at Acland Park.
North Devon III bagged their first win of the league season with a nine wicket triumph at home to Axminster II. Chris Ledbetter (35) and Dave Gadsden (17) led Axminster to 126 all out with Rob Mann (4-38) and Ray Clarke (3-22) the principle wicket takers. Jordan Hussell then hit an unbeaten 82 and Tom Stanton was also unbeaten on 22 at the close as North Devon sealed a comfortable victory
