Stein and Todd destroy Imps

SAM Stein collected a five-wicket haul as Devon Dumplings defeated Warwicksire Imps by 114 runs at Sidmouth.

Scott Todd (3-40) and Stein (5-33) dismissed Warwickshire Imps for just 131 in reply to the Dumplings’ competitive 245 all out.

Having been put into bat after rain delayed the start, the Dumplings scored six an over throughout, the mainstay being Exeter’s John Meredith with well-crafted 79. Solid support came from Cameron Grainger (43) and Shobrooke’s Justin Dollow (34).

The Imps’ best bowling came from Jon Cockroft (5-83) with good support from Stev Stipanovic (3-79)

The Imps started their reply with an opening stand of 32 but when Todd then Stein got to work the wickets fell regularly and the innings subsided.
