Devon Cricket Board - Dumplings v Stragglers

A see-saw of a match right to the last ball. The Stragglers declined to 118 for 6, with an opener also retired hurt, but they then added 83 for the loss of one more wicket to give them a challenging 40-over total on a pitch which, unusually for Shobrooke, after a wet day before, favoured the bowlers.

Despite a solid contribution from Graham White, the Dumplings innings followed a very similar pattern, 115 for 6, and behind the clock.

Then the score was raised to 175 by aggressive batting from skipper Richard Pyle partnered by Mead; then a couple of wickets fell, one a run out, but Mead sneaked us to an exciting win off the very last ball.
