Aaron Printers Narracott Cup draw made

HOLDERS Ipplepen have pulled out Paignton 2nd XI in the first round of this season’s Aaron Printers Narracott Cup competition.

Pens, who defeated Dartington & Totnes in last year’s final will be at home to Paignton on May 8.

Dartington & Totnes, who have lost in the last three finals, have been handed a bye in the first round. They come in at the second phase when they entertain either Bovey Tracey or South Devon.

South Devon, back-to-back winners in 2001-02, have returned to the competition after an absence of five years.

Captains are reminded there will be a pre-competition meeting at South Devon CC on Tuesday, April 15 (7.30pm) when rule revisions will be agreed. Captains are asked to bring registration sheets to the meeting listing no more than 24 players. Also, their entry fees of £10.

Any proposals for rule changes need to be with the secretary by Monday, April 7

The full draw is:

First round: Bovey Tracey v South Devon, Ippelpen v Paignton (both May 8); Barton v Chelston, Shaldon v Abbotskerswell (both May 15).

Second round: Barton or Chelston v Stoke Gabriel, Dartington & Totnes v Bovey Tracey or South Devon (both May 29); Shaldon or Abbotskerswell v Babbacombe, Torquay v Paignton or Ippepen (both June 5).

Semi-finals (dates and venues TBC): Shaldon or Abbotskerswell or Babbacombe v Dartington & Totnes or Bovey Tracey or South Devon, Barton or Chelston or Stoke Gabriel v Torquay or Paignton or Ipplepen.

Final: South Devon CC, Wednesday, July 9.
