Ground & Facilities - Minimum Quality Standards

The documents below attempt to set out the Minimum Quality Standards for clubs playing in the Devon Cricket League.

They do not attempt to set out technical specifications for Pavilions, Grounds etc.

Ground Machinery

In matches where independent umpires are appointed, pitches and grounds will be assessed under the existing criteria.

ECB TS4 gives guidance on the preparation of pitches and outfields, together with the standards suggested.

The list of equipment quoted in this document are not prescriptive. It is accepted that, in some clubs, the preparation and presentation

of the grounds lies in the hand of a third party., for example a contractor, and therefore in these prevailing circumstances the equipment

that the home club will need will be limited.
